Li-en shared last Thursday on the need to connect with our generation now, to be open to new and creative ways to preach an unchanging gospel to a changing world…
“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. “
- Corinthians 3:6-7
The reality is, we come in at different points and stages of pre-believer’s process towards knowing Christ. On our part, how can we make our involvement in that one little point really count?
In the postmodern context, I think love is still the key answer. His love should compel us, and our love for others will reflect back on our relationship with Him.
People don’t need care about what we know, but they need to know that we care.
Yup, so no matter where your ‘entry’ point is in that person’s process, do it with utmost care and love for them. Doing evangelism out of the love does not ensure ensure ’successful’ evangelism, it is successful evangelism.
